TELELINK MOSCOW-JERUSALEM ON RAOUL WALLENBERG’S FATE

Mr. Danny Rainer and Mr. Alexander Blonsky, Vice-President and representative of the foundation in the UK, respectively, have participated in an international telelink sponsored by Novosti Ria News Agency, Accu Radio and the Izvestia Magazine. Joining the IRWF representatives in the Jerusalem studio, was Knesset Member Dr. Marina Soldokin who campaigns to preserve the memory of Raoul Wallenberg and promotes a Law of Remembrance to the Rescuers.

In the Moscow studio were Anatoly Prokopenko, former Chairman of the Special Section of the State Central Archives of USSR, and Ilia Altman, Director of the society ”Holocaust”.

RAOUL WALLENBERG WAS PRISONER NO. 7 !!!

This report contains new information on previously unknown « Prisoner No. 7″ who was questioned in Moscow’s Lubyanka prison on July 23, 1947, for more than 16 hours.
It was given to us by courtesy of Mrs. Marie Dupuy, who originally published it on her website ”Searching for Raoul Wallenberg”, Mrs. Susanne Berger, a former independent consultant to the Swedish-Russian Working Group, member of the Independent Investigation of Raoul Wallenberg’s fate of NYC and distinguished member of the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, and Dr. Vadim Birstein, a former member of the Swedish-Russian Working Group and author of ”The Perversion of Knowledge: The True Story of Soviet Science” (Westview Press, 2001).

PETER BULOW AT THE IRWF, APRIL 8 – 29, 2010

The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation and Casa Argentina in Jerusalem have the honor of presenting the artistic works of Peter Bulow in his first one-man show. Bulow has been commissioned by the IRWF to make five bronze portraits of three rescuers: Raoul Wallenberg, Angelo Roncalli and Luiz Martins De Souza Dantas. These portraits will have their debut in the upcoming show, which will also feature a retrospective of 20 years of work by the artist on the theme of the Holocaust, and his mother’s past as a hidden child in Budapest.

5TH ANNUAL SAVIORS ON THE SCREEN FILM PRESENTATIONS IN NEW YORK

The IRWF joins forces with JCC Manhattan to present ”Saviors on the Screen,” a special marathon of films remembering the righteous saviors of Jews during the Holocaust. Taking place on April 11-12 at the JCC Manhattan, the series is part of the IRWF’s Yom HaShoah programs, which not only honor the memory of those lost during the Holocaust, but also celebrates the lives of those who survived.
