On January 17th 1945, Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who saved the lives of tens of thousands of people, mostly Jews, during the war, was captured by Soviet Army. His fate remains unknown.
He may even still be alive in a Russian prison. As individuals living in a free world, we should never cease to inquire about Wallenberg’s fate.
This anniversary is a reminder that even in the darkest times individuals can make a difference.
