The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation at UNESCO, Paris

The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation took part in the exhibition dedicated to Raoul Wallenberg organized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), at its Paris Headquarters on May 10, 1999.

Jack Fuchs, Holocaust survivor, Nicholas Tozer, member of the Executive Committee of the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation and the businessman Aarón Dovrat attended the ceremony on behalf of the foundation.

Two ”Homage to Raoul Wallenberg sculptures” , by the Argentine artist Norma D’Ippólito were presented to the US Congressman Tom Lantos, who was rescued by Raoul Wallenberg along with his wife, and to Federico Mayor, General Director of UNESCO.

Two posters about homages paid to Wallenberg in Argentina, one about the statue unveiled in the city of Buenos Aires and other about the postal stamp issued by the Argentine Postal Service, were displayed.

A Raoul Wallenberg’s artistic portrait painted by Peter Malkin, was also shown at the exhibition.
