  • Grave of Warsaw Ghetto heroine vandalised

    The grave of a woman who saved thousands of Jewish children in the Warsaw Ghetto has been desecrated, according to Polish authorities.

  • Nobel for Winton?

    Sir Nicholas Winton, the man behind the Czech Kindertransport, should
    be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, according to the International
    Raoul Wallenberg Foundation. Founder Baruch Tenembaum says that Sir
    Nicholas, now 100, performed ”remarkable feats” when he organised the
    evacuation of 669 Czechoslovakian Jewish children on the eve of the war.
