<p>Events include:</p>
<p>• 13 December 2012. A Raoul Wallenberg memorial plaque was unveiled at the John Wesley College in Budapest. The plaque was unveiled by Pastor Gabor Ivanyi, Rector of the College; by Prof. Jozsef Schhweitzer, retired Chief Rabbi and by Dr. Ferenc Orosz, Chairman of the Raoul Wallenberg Association. The representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church was also present.</p>
<p><span><span>•  12 December: mass in honor of Jean Marie Fox, by the international  Raoul Wallenberg Foundation in the halls of the Provincial Palace of  Luxembourg. </span><span>Organized by the Governor of the Province of Luxembourg, Bernard Caprasse. </span><span>At 11 o&#8217;clock.</span></span></p>

At the Ceremony the &#8220;<strong>2012 Raoul Wallenberg Centennial Medal</strong>&#8221; will be bestowed to: Prof. <strong>Haim Avni</strong>, Prof. <strong>Dina Porat</strong>, Mr. <strong>Max Grunberg, </strong>The <strong>City of Eilat</strong> (represented by its Mayor, Mr. <strong>Meir Halevy </strong>and by the former<strong> Honorary Consul of Sweden, Mr. Jacky Pri-Gal</strong>)<strong> Speakers:</strong> H.E. Armand Vallee Exhibit.</a> The IRWF, in partnership with the Argentinian Consulate of New York, presents an art exhibit in commemoration of Raoul Wallenberg&#8217;s Centennial. The exhibit features the work of Canadian painter Armand Vallee and his Wallenberg Series,  consisting of 14 paintings that narrate the Swedish diplomat&#8217;s quest to save persecuted Jews in Budapest.</p>

Event at the 92nd Y. </a>The IRWF was invited to be a promotional sponsor of a symposia organized by The Association for Jewish Culture in Sweden and hosted by the 92Y in New York City in commemoration of Raoul Wallenberg&#8217;s Centennial. Entitled &#8220;In Memory of Raoul Wallenberg: The Transformation of Memory Jewish Perspectives,&#8221; features a panel of distinguished artists and writers from both cities who engage in a discussion about the theme of memory in their literary and artistic works. The event is held simultaneously at the 92ndY and in Stockholm.</p>

Sponsored by United Nations   Department of Public Information’s Holocaust Programme and The   Permanent Missions of Hungary and Sweden to the United Nations.</p>

<p>• The University of Tel Aviv and the IRWF will host the event  “The  Legacy of Raoul Wallenberg” on the 67th anniversary of the  diplomat’s  disappearance. The “Raoul Wallenberg 2012 Grants” will be  bestowed  during the occasion to doctoral students Orna Keren-Carmel and   Yehonatan Alsheh. <p>•  Thanks to the request by IRWF, the UN Secretary-General will mention Raoul Wallenberg in his message for the <a href="http://www.un.org/en/holocaustremembrance/2012/calendar2012.html">UN International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust</a>. <p>• A play by Yossef Eli will be released in March in Israel,   sponsored by the Raoul Wallenberg Foundation. The leading roles will be   performed by students of a secondary school in Kiryat Malachi.</p>

<li><strong> </strong>Aug<strong><em> 31</em></strong>. <strong>The exhibition &#8220;To me there&#8217;s no other choice&#8221;</strong>, marking 100 years since the birth of Raoul Wallenberg, opened on August 31 in Tel Aviv.On Thursday 30 August, the Swedish Minister for EU Affairs, Birgitta Ohlsson, inaugurated the exhibition &#8220;To Me There&#8217;s No Other Choice &#8211; Raoul Wallenberg 1912-2012&#8243; at Beit Bialik in Tel Aviv.At the opening reception Israel&#8217;s Minister for Energy and Water Resources Uzi Landau, the coordinator for Raoul Wallenberg 2012 Olle Wästberg and Swedish Ambassador Elinor Hammarskjöld also spoke about the moral courage of Raoul Wallenberg and the importance of keeping his legacy alive. A children&#8217;s choir from the Bialik-Rogozin school in south Tel Aviv performed songs based on the poetry of Chaim Bialik. Among the many guests at the reception were numerous Holocaust survivors, who were rescued by Raoul Wallenberg, and the Director General of Yad Vashem, Mr Avner Shalev.The exhibition at Beit Bialik (22 Bialik Street, Tel Aviv) is open until 20 September, Monday to Thursday between 10.00 and 16.00 and Friday and Saturday between 10.00 and 14.00. Admission is free.</li>
